the part of a ship above the poop, main and the forecastle decks are known as the superstructure,and in mordern conventional vessel,are usually concentrated at the after part of the hull above the engine room ,the exception to this, is in some lift vessel,where the superstructure is either erected along the entire length of the vessel, or is concentrated towards the forward parts.,the superstructure is usually divided into several deck level as per figure 1.4 into which living, eating,and sleeping accommodation, as well as storage and operational part of the ship are fitting
